On Saturday, eighty thousand people will pack into Croke Park to watch Katie Taylor fight for the last time. We can’t fit eighty thousand (we’ve counted), but every screen at The Local Minneapolis is turned over to Dublin, and a six-hour time difference does us the enormous favor of putting the biggest night in Irish boxing on at happy hour.
Main event around 4 PM. The undercard starts at 1 if you’re about, but nobody’s taking attendance.
Twenty-ounce imperial pints of Guinness, Harp or Smithwick’s are $5 all day Saturday, downtown Minneapolis only. Pull up a stool and watch her last walk to the ring.
